Cant log into Emby Connect

Hi

 

I am trying to connect to my Emby server remotely.  I have been connecting to the server over my LAN with no problems, and this is the first time I have tried to connect remotely.

In the past when I have connected over the LAN I have entered the server adress manually.  I am now trying to sign in on my Android phone using the Emby app and Emby connect.

The below actions on the Android phone are being done over the Mobile network - not over wi-fi.

Step 1. I open the Emby App on Android and get the Welcome to Emby screen.  I select Next.

Step 2. I get the screen below asking me to Sign in with Emby Connect, and enter my login details.

Step 3. I get taken to the following screen in the app

I was expecting to see my server listed here.  Because I am being asked to Sign in with Emby Connect I am assuming I am not signed in?
I have enabled Allow remote connections to this Emby Server.  in the Network settings on the Server

I have entered my email address to associate my User with my Emby account as per below:

Please advise what I am missing if i want to connect to my server remotely.  Emby server log attached. Thanks!

Hi, yes that's odd. You should see your server there. Try removing the Emby Connect info, clicking save, and then adding it back and clicking save again. Please see if that helps. Thanks.

Tried that and did a re-start of the server.  I can see the server listed when I log in, but I am unable to connect (trying it from Windows via Chrome this time).  I got the screen below when trying to connect tot he Tower.  I tried those links and none helped.  One of them took me to a 12 page forum post talking about encryprion I think.

 

Any more advice?

Not sure what you mean mate?

and I already tried the Android app.

Is that the correct local network ip address? Maybe it's not?

I suggest getting the local network address figured out. What is the local network ip address of your server machine?

Then we should look at why Emby Server is detecting your local network address as 172.xx. This can happen sometimes in odd or overly complex network setups. As a last resort, it can be configured manually in server network settings but it's usually better to learn what's going on first.
