alexpavlovic 0 Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 I've set up a server on my Shield, accessible just fine on my home wifi on the Shield itself and my S24 Ultra mobile. I cannot access remotely though. Remote access with auto port mapping enabled. Have also tried manual port forwarding on my Eero router, with no joy. Any help appreciated.
Luke 42077 Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 Hi there, what exactly happens when you try to access remotely?
alexpavlovic 0 Posted June 18, 2025 Author Posted June 18, 2025 I just get a message saying the server can't be found. Tried both LAN and WAN addresses. When I sign in with Connect, I just get taken right back to the screen to join server.

This suggests that you didn't first setup Emby Connect on your server: Emby Connect But let's not focus on that yet. First let's focus on just connecting manually by entering the server address. Have you gone over our remote setup guide? Connecting from Client Apps
alexpavlovic 0 Posted June 18, 2025 Author Posted June 18, 2025 Yes I've gone through both links and I think I've tried everything in there. Port forwarding and firewall access didn't work for me when I changed my Eero settings.

alexpavlovic 0 Posted June 19, 2025 Author Posted June 19, 2025 I went into my Eero and followed the instructions on Emby's support page. Added a port reservation, changed port forwarding and firewall settings for the local and WAN addresses, and still couldn't get it to work.
