By principle i don't access other users servers. Specially as most servers have pirated content and i don't want to be associated with that. Thank you for the offer though. 18 minutes ago, Ansell said: You can also operate without scheduled tasks; this allows for the reuse of previously processed posters, and EmbyIcons will not redraw the posters unless Emby itself updates them. EmbyIcons does not enhance any poster that does not need it. If the poster used is up to date then that poster will remain. Only exception is when settings have been changed and saved. I'm currently working on a solution to that so only posters and cache for posters that actually had icons affected will be redrawn.

I have a plan for this: we could switch to clearing the cache only when specific settings are changed, or add a dedicated button for the corresponding media library. Additionally, we wouldn't need to perform a full image cleanup when updating the EmbyIcon plugin; instead, cleanup would only occur when actually necessary.

The posters having to be redrawn between plugin updates has been fixed in an internal version i have. Same with some settings that does not change the look of posters. The reason i had it do that was in case of new features and/or changes that could change how posters looked. Edited 51 minutes ago by yocker

So, a "magic button" is needed—one that allows users to redraw a specific area with minimal effort.

Talking to you has been so enjoyable that I haven't had time to work on my own project.
Ansell 9 Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago There are already 121,211 images—and that’s not even half of them; a full reset would be catastrophic.

I don't see that happening as i don't want the possibility of stale posters to happen. For now i suggest waiting for the new things i'm working on and in the mean time enabled lite modes for TV shows and collection plus disabling icons for collections. These are by far the larges resource hogs in the plugin. 8 minutes ago, Ansell said: There are already 121,211 images—and that’s not even half of them; a full reset would be catastrophic. Emby will reuse the posters as they have not changed, no posters gets lost by rebooting. If they do need to be redrawn after a reboot then you might have a plugin running that updates the metadata, plugins like rating sync could do that. If you have such a plugin then the metadata changes all the time and the posters will have to be redrawn to reflect the changes. Edited 38 minutes ago by yocker

The current version is actually ideal because it avoids re-rendering every single poster whenever there is an upgrade or a change in settings; I am currently manually triggering the rendering and saving of all posters to minimize future CPU usage.

I meant the show icons on collections and lite mode for collections in the plugin it self. It just changes if it should use aggregation for collections or not and/r if it should even draw any icons on collections.
