yocker 1760 Posted Sunday at 09:47 PM Author Posted Sunday at 09:47 PM Try going into settings and change the position of one of the icons, like for example the HDR icon. This will force a clean of the cache and redraw everything.
yocker 1760 Posted Sunday at 10:02 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:02 PM Also what happens if you download the poster manually in Emby?

I just updated to v5.56.3.0 (Emby Server 4.9.5.0), and it looks like there's a cache-related issue. The same poster is being displayed for multiple movies across my library. When I check the corresponding folders, the correct original poster images are present. I've cleared the cache several times, but it doesn't solve the problem. The plugin does not cache any posters, it only caches the icons and aggregation data for TV series. Posters are handled by Emby it self, unless you have another plugin that changes the poster for you. Try what i wrote above and move an icon position. This will forcibly clear the cache and redraw everything.
eMoOak 8 Posted Sunday at 10:32 PM Posted Sunday at 10:32 PM It's not just posters. The issue also affects logos and fanart. The incorrect images aren't always the same, they seem to change over time. The original image files are all correct on disk, but Emby displays random artwork from other items.

EmbyIcons doesn't change logos and fanart. Can i get you to temporarily uninstall EmbyIcons and see what happens? I have a suspicion that it's not EmbyIcons that is the cause of the problem.
MAX92 98 Posted Monday at 08:47 AM Posted Monday at 08:47 AM I desinstalled EmbyIcon. I try to change the position but always the same
ISeeTWizard 31 Posted Monday at 09:06 AM Posted Monday at 09:06 AM I tried to reproduce on my system but I can’t didn’t see any error but removed the cache so that everything got redrawn and everything ok for me so it seems not to be a global issue I would say 1

yocker 1760 Posted Monday at 01:02 PM Author Posted Monday at 01:02 PM Can i get you to send me the server logs with debug enabled in both Emby and EmbyIcons ?

MAX92 98 Posted Monday at 07:52 PM Posted Monday at 07:52 PM And if I go in the repertory of Slumdog Millionnaire or Backroom, I have the good pictures
yocker 1760 Posted Monday at 08:17 PM Author Posted Monday at 08:17 PM @ebrSeeing as backdrops also gets misidentified plus their problem also happens with EmbyIcons uninstalled, i'm 99.9% sure that it might be a problem with Emby. (If not then i of cause owe a HUGE apology!!) I did identified a problem in EmbyIcons that could cause problems when the ID returned by Emby was Empty but it has not fixed the problem.

Correct, they do say that it happens even with it uninstalled. The users seems gone for tonight but i have one thing i can test.
ebr 16576 Posted Monday at 09:51 PM Posted Monday at 09:51 PM Just now, yocker said: they do say that it happens even with it uninstalled Right but the way all the image caching works, effects could hang around for a while. It could be different image processors fighting each other somehow too. Do the folks with this issue also have CA or any other image processor plugin?

One has only EmbyIcons installed so it is of cause a possibility. In my own tests i can't replicate the problem at all, even with more plugins drawing on the posters. Even copied over 1TB of small videos to do a fresh scan to sort of overwhelm it to have it cause the problem. Anyway, i will look at it again when they are back and active on the forum.

MAX92 98 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) I uninstalled EMBYIcons and restarted EMBY. I cleared the database. Then I restarted EMBY again. I ran all my scheduled tasks, and so far, no problems. I'll keep doing this throughout the week and let you know how it goes. Edited 17 hours ago by MAX92
yocker 1760 Posted 42 minutes ago Author Posted 42 minutes ago @ebrI believe i traced the problem. Emby gave a lot of their movies an ID of 00000000 so those movies were recognized as the same movie and just given the poster for the first movie with that ID. EmbyIcons did it's duty and drew on that poster. Could explain why it also would happen without EmbyIcons installed.
