pwhodges 2012 Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 Have you taken the steps necessary for remote access? https://emby.media/support/articles/Connectivity.html If opening the ports doesn't do it, then go through the checks for your ISP using cgNAT (which blocks external access). If you have cgNAT, we can discuss the options for getting round it. Paul
Bangloud 1 Posted April 15, 2025 Author Posted April 15, 2025 Hi Paul thanks for reply.so I looked at link and I think I got all the settings correct.i think the problem is cgnat whatever that is.so my isp is befibre and I've read they do use cgnat.if I want a dedicated ip address it's £4 a month extra.ive got a vpn but the one I'm with doesn't supply a port forwarding service so that's out too.

To me, that small extra amount doesn't seem like much. It will save you from having to setup workarounds. 1
