Polaris42 0 Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 I've attached the latest log to this message. I think this might be a case of me doing something dumb and then making it worse trying to fix it. I will try my best to explain, and appreciate any help at all. Okay so I installed and setup Emby, it all worked perfectly fine, no problems. I went to set up a https connection, the ssl certificate gave me an Auth error and suddenly my homescreen was completely blank. I've inserted a screenshot of the homescreen, and a copy of the logs when the Auth error occured. I had restarted the server to create the https connection. As a solution I decided I didn't need a https connection, and deleted my ssl certificate and domain name. Not sure if this is relevant, but before I set up Emby I tried to setup Jellyfin. I initially installed Emby because Jellyfin was on eternal loading screen and I wanted to see if it'd be the same on Emby. I think when I restarted Jellyfin may have started up at the same time as Emby. Regardless, I realised that problem and closed down emby and moved Jellyfin to a different port. I then closed Jellyfin down and switched Emby back on to be safe. I then corrupted my database trying to fix it I think? My library scans were all fine, and didn't make a difference. I accidentally doubled my libraries. Then I deleted them all, and tried again to scan library. One thing I've noticed is through the process of restarting my library when I add movie/tv back it's always at 90% for the library scan, I'm assuming that's metadata but thought I'd mention it just in case. After that I got an sqlite error and then followed the instructions at emby support corrupt database. I managed the first step with no problems. The sqlite error no longer appeared, but my loading/homepage was the same. (btw it's the same blank whenever I try to search for the tv shows.) I then tried the second step, I am an idiot and could not figure it out so I skipped along to a full reset and load fresh. It put me in the same position as when I initially stopped getting sqlite errors. I did more googling, tried to delete the library.db file altogether and then remap, and it put me right back in the same position. Through all this, when I've re-added my libraries it's always back at 90%. I've attached a screenshot of my library page if that's of any use. It's one folder to one library collection. As I was only just initially setting up, I've only put in two shows and one movie for testing in these file sections. So I don't mind anything involving completely starting again, or other equally drastic measures. It's probably something stupid I've done so many apologies, will appreciate any help at all! embyserver.txt AuthError.txt

Luke 42078 Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 Hi, can you try clearing browsing data and seeing if that helps?
Luke 42078 Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 Quote I accidentally doubled my libraries. Do you have any idea how this happened?

I tried that before, but retried just now and unfortunately did not help. 19 minutes ago, Luke said: Do you have any idea how this happened? Yes, I was very stupid and deleted the TV Show library, went to add in the new library paths and then put in both TV and Movie. Therefore corrupting the libraries.
Solution Luke 42078 Posted April 11, 2025 Solution Posted April 11, 2025 OK I would check your emby user permissions to make sure your user is granted access to the library. Barring that, you might as well make a fresh start by deleting the library.db file.
Polaris42 0 Posted April 11, 2025 Author Posted April 11, 2025 Sorted! Thank you so much. It was the user permissions. Sorry for taking up your time. Weird, because the permissions were fine beforehand, and everything was working but randomly must've turned off?
