Luke 42077 Posted March 20, 2025 Posted March 20, 2025 Are you sure you started the server? Did you make sure to shutdown the docker server first? How to Report a Problem

How to Report a Problem I did stop the docker version. I just followed the instruction from the webpage. It does not mention to start anything. I also cannot find anything on how to start it. There are no short-cuts or anything I can find. Can you help with how to start it?

How to Report a Problem Hey there, I have tested the movie now with Emby server directly on my Linux host. This seems to work like a charm. See from this line and onwards in the log 2025-03-21 21:08:36.314 Info SessionManager: Playback start reported by app Emby for Android 3.4.36 on SHIELD playing Panic Room. Started at 0 ms. I can also see on network activity that the average activity is roughly 10-15 MiB more than while using Docker. So what does this mean? Can we figure out why the docker version is not working or do I have to move my configuration to my host? embyserver(1).txt
Q-Droid 989 Posted March 21, 2025 Posted March 21, 2025 Download a movie from Emby in Docker to your desktop. You should be getting wire speed but if you don't then it's something about your setup.

It gave me a 133 MiB/s write speed from Emby in docker to my host download folder. I then tried copying the same movie to the same folder via my host. That gave identical results. That seems to indicate the my system is not limiting me in speed.
Luke 42077 Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 I wonder if that bitrate is just high for the shield to handle over the network.

I just need to pick your brain on this idea. Are you theorizing that even though it has a gigabit network card, it still may be more than the shield is capable of handling? I am not versed enough on how the Shield works to know if it may have some issues with certain network streams to know if this type may be more difficult compared to a download via the internet, which is more than capable of handling. What could I use as a device that for sure would work in place of the Shield, or can I test it some other way? Also the problem dissapears when I use the Linux version of Emby server. So it seems that something happens when using the docker/emby combo Edited March 25, 2025 by Nuitarius
Luke 42077 Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 That’s what I’m suggesting but if you don’t have the problem on the bare Linux version then I fits that’s not the case.
