Emby Ports

Hallo

 

Eine Frage, wei kann ich die Ports ändern bei Emby?

Und Zwar habe ich Emby auf meiner Synology installiert per Paketmanager auf der DSM Oberfläche.

8096 und 8920 sind da ja die Standard Ports. Diese hatt Jellyfin aber leider auch.

Daher stört sich das ganze.

Da enby schon installiert ist, wollte ich irgendwie diese nachträglich ändern, da sich sonst Jellyfin nicht installieren lässt.

Ach und ich möcht keine Docker Installation, daher diese Frage.

A dev or fellow Synology user will have to comment, but can't you just change them via the Network page?

But yes to a point this should be part of the install wizard @Luke

Hallo @Happy2PlayLeider ist das so nicht mehr möglich. Laut deiner verlinkten Anleitung kann ich die Ports dort noch selber ändern. Leider ist das heute nicht mehr so drinn.

Zu sehen sind nur noch die lokalen Ports, die Public Ports sind nicht mehr änderbar.

Sounds like change the ports to run both servers.

They are after you check "Allow remote connections to this Emby Server."

 Were you able to get this working?  If you have remote access enabled for Emby Server, please test to make sure it works as your setup might require addition changes.

If JellyFin would use their own set of default ports instead of using Emby's default ports you wouldn't have this conflict to deal with!

@CarloHallo, ja alles läuft und rennt mit emby und bin zufrieden. Das System ist auch produktiv im Einsatz.

Leider erfordert es nebenbei das Produkt Yellyfin zu nutzen weil es Geräte gibt die weder Emby noch Plex und Co unterstüttzen.

Die bieten nicht mal die App dazu an. Und ja das ärgert mich auch das Jellyfin die gleichen Ports benutzt und nicht andere, wie ebend zum Beispiel Plex.

Dann wäre die Welt leichter und weniger Arbeit. Ja dann hätte ich diese Sorgen auch nicht, da gebe ich dir vollkommen Recht.

Ich weiss das ich Jellyfin auch als Docker installieren kann ist aber nicht zu vergleichen mit einer direkten Installation.

Wenn ich also im Emby die Ports ändere für HTTP und HTTPS sind das aber nicht die Public Ports sondern nur die lokalen, weil ich habe dies mal geändert gehabt, aber Emby will in der Firewall der Synology weiterhin die Ports 8096 und 8920.

Hier ändert sich da aber rein garnix.

So ergibt sich für mich das original die Ports so lauten:

8096:8096 und 8920:8920

Nach der Änderung in Emby die Ports dan so aussehen:

8096:8080 und 8920:8900 als Beispiel.

Daher weiss ich das ich die lokalen nur ändere aber nicht die Public Ports.

Bei Jellyfin kann ich die nur ändern bei einer Container Installation.

Da könnte ich die Ports so gestalten:

8080:8096 und 8900:8920 als Beispiel.

Das geht aber nicht bei dieser Installation.

Ich hoffe ich konnte Darstellen wo mein Problem liegt.

What do you mean by this?
What devices are you referring to that don't work with Emby that Jellyfin supports?

@CarloÄltere Samsung TV´s bei meiner Schwägerin und Panasonic TV meiner Eltern und die älteren Amazon Tablets meiner Nichten.

 

@Happy2PlayDanke und ja ich würde beide Server parallel betreiben wollen.

Ich muss mal schauen wie man ddas genau macht um mein Ziel zu erreichen.

Keine Sorge ich bleibe trotzdem bei Emby, habe ja auch einen lebenslangen Key dafür und werde nicht zu Jellyfin wechseln.

Yes, if you can't see them in the webpage after checking the "Allow remote connections to this Emby Server" box. 

1. Shut down Emby,
2. change those lines in system.xml
3. and then restart Emby. 

I'm on Windows and like to use WinSCP/Notepad++ which is easy.  If you use Putty/Terminal and command lines tools, it may be a little harder
