Misinthe 46 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Good morning, after the last update or so (I don't remember when but it's been recent), once you're inside an account, you can switch between accounts without requiring passwords, for example: If we open the Emby App and it shows the login screen the first time, so let's say my son goes into his account (he doesn't have a password in the local network), then if he clicks on user icon in the corner and then "change user" he can select mine that has a password and it will not require it, so he can go between any accounts that he wants with that menu (we have 3 adult accounts and 2 kids accounts, the adults require password local and remotely, kids only require password remotely), this wasn't the case before, if he selected another account it would prompt for the password. This happens on my Android TV and my Samsung TV. Thank you,
GrimReaper 4740 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 (edited) You need to protect yours/others (adult) account(s) with Profile PIN (optional). Passwords Quote By default all Emby apps will require authentication on each device ONCE per user. After that, the credentials will be remembered on that device enabling easy switching between profiles without needing to re-enter the password. Edited September 27, 2024 by GrimReaper

darkassassin07 652 Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 When signing in, you must ensure you select 'yes' when prompted if you'd like to use a pin. If you select no, you can freely switch to that account until you manually select 'sign out'. 1
