Stevepruebas 0 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Hi! We used to use a Centos server, with old Emby version. Now we moved to a new ubuntu server and latest emby version. The problem is that the content we watch is not marked as "watched", or appears on "new episodes". We can´t mark content as favourite, also. We tried to fix database (using clean database on next reboot), several times, with no luck. We followed this guide, too, with no lock. I attach full server log. ¡Thanks! embyserver (1).txt
Lessaj 467 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 There are no apparent errors in this log, but I do see playback stopped a few times. None of these were marked as watched? Did you try manually clicking the checkmark during the period of this log? If so, at what time? I don't think you did since I don't see any entries for PlayedItems.

I have some new information: only happens to two or three users (out of 20), and when I was doing some test (changing FireTV app, 'cause there are two of them in Amazon App Store), when trying to mark as favourite I had a message: "the user /emby/folder/fodler/folder/user/87654345678 has no rights to do this" or something like that. I´ll try to install that app again (don't remember which one told me that) and will update this. The only thing I remember is that that folder did'n exist in my server. To get access to my FireTV one hour without interruptions, I have to fight against children, wife, etc... xD
Stevepruebas 0 Posted September 15, 2024 Author Posted September 15, 2024 (edited) Well, Finally I could get the fail: It only fails to mark as watched, favourite, etc in "Emby For FireTV" app. It sounds the "click", but nothing happens. I couldn't get the "user folder" error I got previously. No issues in Web, Android app (mobile) or Emby For Android (FireTV). Server version: 4.8.8 (premiere) Emby For Fire TV: 2.1.14a (Latest, I think) With older server version (4.7.14) no issues at all. EDIT: I discovered another thing: If I play something on the fireTV (no matter which app I use), they don't appear on the emby server control panel. But If I do it from elsewhere, it show up. It does not appear in the "activity", either; the play doesn't exist at all, even in the logs. Edited September 15, 2024 by Stevepruebas
Stevepruebas 0 Posted September 15, 2024 Author Posted September 15, 2024 (edited) Hi again, I can't edit my previous post: After watching some episode, I get this error on "Emby for Android" (fireTV): "The file '/emby/Users/bf2009e8d4a4444789426802c5900255/PlayedItems/471871' can't be found" If I use the "Emby for FireTV" app, it just does the click sound, but nothing happens. If I mark it using Android app (mobile), works fine, and appears marked as watched in Emby for Android (FireTV) app. If I try to unmark it, the error is the same, but with "/Delete" at the end. SO, both FireTV apps, fails (maybe related with the last edit of the previous post?) I'll try to install Emby for Android 3.4.20 (the one installed on mobile). The latest in amazon app store is 3.4.16 Edit: no luck, after trying to install latest github apk, firetv does nothing. Edited September 15, 2024 by Stevepruebas

Stevepruebas 0 Posted September 16, 2024 Author Posted September 16, 2024 Finally, I uninstalled all emby versions from my FireTV, and installed latest from emby web (Emby for android, v3.4.21), and seems to work again. I will wait for a newer version of Emby for FireTV, it's more comfortable to use and search.

I figured it out setting up the home screen order: Then I tried to mark some media as "favourite" and nothing happens. So, no emby version works at all, neither on FireTV nor on mobile. I tried to mark a movie "Garfield", as favourite, at 22:02. I tried several times, with the heart, and with the three dots. If I click the heart, it does nothing, but if I click on the three dots, and "add to favourite"; this error shows up: Thanks for your help. Stevepruebas 0 Posted September 23, 2024 Author Posted September 23, 2024 Well, after a lot of tests, after about 10 to 15 users complaining about server issues (last one, myself: all server content appears to be gone, all empty, on FireTV, and mobile). I will reinstall all the server.
