Ek_Korat 0 Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Hi, I'm new here, as I heard that Emby support the streaming from .strm file. I've tried to put google drive video url in .strm file for few formats as below but still can't play by Emby. So, can someone help to clarify what is the correct url format for google drive video that playable in Emby? Thanks. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=FILE_ID https://drive.google.com/file/d/FILE_ID/view

Hi @Luke I've setup the Emby server on my MacBook (M1) with latest version downloaded from Emby Server for macOS - Emby Then I add folder where I stored the strm file to the library. The url format from the file in Google drive is https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=122gohfRp5Ip3tlrnoTr2qCmv1_a7wn_m When I play the media it error as below. And I've attached the log file for you to verify as well. Braveheart.1995.2160p.HDR.5.1.x265.10bit (1).strm ffmpeg-transcode-7fdae67a-aa6f-439c-9008-e4fbbe1d9e15_1.txt
Luke 42079 Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 @Ek_Koratplease attach the corresponding emby server log as well. Also, look at the google drive url in the ffmpeg log. Does that resolve directly to the video file? that is important. It can't be a url to the google drive web page. Thanks.

Hi @Luke, I've attached the emby server log and checking that the url in strm file is the same as the one in ffmpeg log, and when I opened that url it redirects to the page as I've attached the picture. embyserver-63859110631.txt
Luke 42079 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 It's not a video url. Try putting it into vlc to verify.
