I have an issue with my Emby server playback on MacOS

My problem is that I can't do playback on my Mac on my emby server. At first I thought it was because the files were mp4, but when I installed and properly got them working by default with vlc, this still didn't help in emby. What happens is I click on an episode, this error comes and it instantly finishes the episode and marks is as watched. I can playback on my Apple TV with these files from my server, but the issue there is regardless of when I leave the episode, if its in the middle of it or whatever it marks it as played which is a big issue. I then decided to convert all the files to MKV to see if that helped, removed and re-added a new library with the new files, but still an issue. My aim is to have them working fine on Mac, but if not, at least working to where they're not immediately marked as played on my Apple TV. Hopefully someone can help with this, I did create a standard new library and didn't have issues when doing the exact same thing on PC. Also using the latest emby server for the latest OS of Mac. I also wanted to note in the logs it doesn’t show up any errors, it just says “my username played this media file” and that’s it

Hello there, I ended up shutting down my emby server and choosing another provider to host it, if I re-open it in the future I can begin a new thread on community here, thanks so much for the help anyway, have a nice day. It might just have been an issue with my Mac for some reason, but anyway, thanks again and have an amazing day :) I love the work you guys do, Emby is absolutely incredible and I do use it often (just not hosting usually)

Hello there. I have shut it down due to this issue, I was not able to use it properly, and then I found another app which worked and I figured that it was not worth it to troubleshoot my Emby Server when another app did the same thing without issues. I can launch the emby server again, and I can troubleshoot, so that we may solve this if it happens for more emby users having this issue, if it is indeed buggy as it as it wouldn't be difficult to replicate it so we can get to the bottom of this. The main reason why I shut it down was simply there was another app that worked and I didn't think it worth troubleshooting this issue. However as mentioned, let me know if you want me to launch it again to replicate so this potential issue can be solved not only for me, but for other potential users who might experience it. I don't mind the troubleshooting if it helps the Emby team and potentially other users.

I re-opened the server, here are some logs, I downloaded all, well 32 out of 33, I checked all, but the mysterious 33 wasn't findable, the server was just off, not deleted btw, so this is the same data as before

Here is also a video displaying the issue on the Apple TV app for Emby, at least it plays, but as you see it goes immediately played wherever I leave in an episode of som

Hi, when you installed Emby Server onto macOS, did you make sure to follow these instructions exactly:

https://emby.media/mac-server.html

The errors in your server log suggest that you didn't. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
