J4025 - it's much newer (but lower spec cpu) but it has quicksync which means it will transcode without needing the more powerful cpu.

Still about context as OP other posts have (J4025) issues with burning in graphical subs due to Emby currently having the hardware option disabled by default.

Both are garbage. The J4025 only has a passmark score of 1526, with a single thread score of 1165.  It is far too underpowered to be a reliable server even with quicksync.  If you're looking to save money, grab an N100 NUC, or one of the laptops I posted in this thread.  The i5-4200u is far too old and is barely faster than the J4025.

If you have them both the J4025 should be better for media. If you're shopping for something then neither.
