I dislike wifi unless I am forced to use it because of it being more mobile of a device. Like a phone or tablet. The laptop would save me $100 after adding ram and ssd to mini pc but not sure if that is worth it when it has no ethernet port. RanmaCanada 345 Posted March 28 Share Posted March 28 (edited) I would buy the laptop and just use a USB ethernet adapter. It's what I did for my i5-1235u laptop. USB-C ethernet adapter. No issues with speeds at all. If your concerned about $$ I would look for something cheaper. The i3-1215u has a passmark score of 11046 which means even without quicksync it could do 5 1080p transcodes. It's barely slower than my i5-1235u which has a mere 13501 passmark score. The i5-1335u has a passmark score of 16400. All their single core speeds are withing 5% of each other.
