(Because they are not).

Well the one for truenas core when you run it in shell like it is it installs the latest beta version. And the freebsd one installs from scratch the latest beta version of emby. Always has for some reason and this is why I never use them since I figured this out and why I use the plug in stable emby in truenas core.. the added pic is from what you currently have on the download page for freebsd and as you can see it's 4.9 version which isn't out for stable. it's a beta version is it not? This is what I'm saying there's beta version in your download page and only beta versions which there's should be both stable official and beta someone keeps only putting beta there and on that same page in the description says clear as day "beta" please fix this and ad both to this oage not only one version.. Thank you
Luke 42077 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 OK since you're on TrueNAS, I thought you would have used the TrueNAS-specfic install instructions: https://emby.media/truenas-server.html Have you seen those?

bluemonkey07 590 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 I have encountered a few issues since attempting to update to 4.8.8.0. i sorted my auto organise issue by deleting the file organisation.db.... but i am still having issues with downloading subtitles and playing some videos. attached log of trying to download subtitles and a failed attempt to watch "this is spinal tap" which played fine before the update embyserver.txt

How did you install Emby Server?
bluemonkey07 590 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 i have had it running on my FreeNAS server for years at this point. i have 2 instances one from the plugin store that i update via the freenas interface and another manual jail that i update manually. both e exhibit the same issues

bluemonkey07 590 Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 thanks for the reply. I have solved the playback issues by installing a new jail from the community jail store and pointing the config dir to my old emby config dataset. I still have can not get subtitle downloading to work tho. Is this a known issue with open subtitle ATM?

hjason7812 34 Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 New update won't go through for truenas core. Did the pkg upgrade and pkg update in the shell of the jail and it stays on the 4.8.8.0 version still but it did update the things like the dependencies that's all it updated..
