yahelgr 0 Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 I have a strange issue with the application (version 1.7.0) on my Samsung TV. When I try to play a movie that I downloaded, which contains two audio tracks—one in English and one in Italian (with Italian set as the default), it plays the Italian track despite selecting the English one. The problem only occurs on my Samsung TV, and I have no issues with the web version or my phone. The only solution I found is to set the quality so that the Mbps is lower than the file's Bitrate. For example, in this file, the Bitrate is 52 Mbps, and when I limit the quality to 4k-40 Mbps, the issue with the audio track disappears, and I can hear the English language. Additionally, I'll mention that my TV does not support 7.1 audio, so it's strange to me that the audio is not undergoing transcoding. Automatic quality: Limited quality: Perhaps there is a connection between my issue and this post: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/120055-audio-playback-issues/
Luke 42077 Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
SamES 1056 Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 In the next version, FLAC audio will always be transcoded regardless of channel number due to ongoing audio sync issues with various models
yahelgr 0 Posted January 10, 2024 Author Posted January 10, 2024 Is there an estimate for when the new version will be released for Samsung TVs?
