Can't connect to Emby Server

Recommended Posts

Posted

I running my Emby server on a Windows 10 PC. I can not connect via any devices on my network. I was able to connect via my Samsung phone. I can't find the server IP address. I only have a very long URL (which I successfully used on my phone). The URL will not work on any other clients on my network. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

What exactly happens? If you already have a url, then you already have the server address, right?

This is curious.  The URL for a local server would normally not be very long.  Where did you get the URL?

Sorry for the delay in responding. I got the URL from the settings page on emby server

Mine admin settings page says:  In-Home (LAN) access: http://192.168.1.10:8096.  Yours is different than that (besides the IP address)?

Is your client IP address similar to the server IP address?  In other words, both devices are on the same network?

You are talking about local network/LAN connections, right?

It is a url on the server's settings section but not an IP address. I tried using the PC ip address but that didn't work

Hi, have you customized any emby server network settings?

Yeah, something isn't right.  Please post a pic of your admin page where you see the URL.
