Theater does not display come up but is running

Strangest thing today,
was watching my media, then I click on the Settings icon and all the sudden, boom! nothing!
no display at all but app is running, peeking at the taskbar icon on Windows 11 shows a black screen
no matter how many mouse clicks on the taskbar icon, app wont come up as expected

I have another installation on Windows 11 as well and everything works fine. app works as expected

tried the usual: restart the server docker, reinstall the windows app to no avail

please help to bring it back up
