First post, have been an avid lurker so far :)

Hi!

I'm running an emby server on FreeBSD. I followed the instructions here: https://emby.media/freebsd-server.html to get it to run and it's working well. I upgraded to 4.8.0.37 to see if my problem has been fixed, it hasn't.

Whenever I go to " manage emby server"  and then "DLNA"  on the iOS app, it hangs with the spinning circle. When I tap on "default user"  I see "No options".

Two interesting tidbits:
a) the same screen works from the browser, I can enable and disable the DLNA server. Whenever I make a change, the app reflects the setting.
b) I set up a second server running on Arm7 (Synology NAS) to try out emby's performance there. When I use the same app against the Arm7 server, the "DLNA" screen works as expected, my only user shows up and I can enable/disable DLNA features.

Thanks for any guidance.

I could see how the root cause could be with FreeBSD but I wouldn't know where to look.

Hi, are you able to do this using the web app?

Posted

yes, see point (a) above.

It works from the web app. The iOS app also works correctly when running against a different server version.
