Music Display and Sort by "Original Release Year"

Greetings!

It would be great if emby would consider the original release year of an album release and you could display and sort by it.

Some bands have re-released their albums as a digital release and then by default there is of course the date of the current release.

Hi, there is an existing discussion on this explaining why it's not as simple as it sounds, but yes, importing this information is possible for future updates. Thanks.

in the mean time some people configure their tagger to make  the date the original year.

eg picard.

$set(date,$if(%originalyear%,%originalyear%,%date%))
