where to download the latest official emby app for Samsung TV

Since the Betas are expireing every 30days I want to install (for my brother in law who lives some hundred km away) an amby app which doesn't expire (the app isn't in the App store in Germany) - it seems I am to stupid to find the right place...

There isn't one, you'll have to keep reinstalling every 30 days or change region on your TV until/if ever change of terms.

I thought that the 1.2.6 (which is in the App store released) won't expire even you instll this via USB, will it ?

Have to say that with a Q80 Samung the region change don't gives problem except that the app is the same from months and no update comes from Samsung store

No, anything installed via USB will always expire, that’s a Samsung policy enforced by Samsung when their tool packages the installer

However, I wiped my tv, set my router up with a USA IP and rebuilt my TV so it now have access to the USA store anyway

While it's not the very latest, the app on the TV finally updated on its own to a newer one that includes some of the features that have been missing. It's a 1.6.x version that's on there now. The USB install works but hitting that 30 days at the most inconvenient time (in bed ready to watch a movie/show) sucks lol.

So basically what i am getting is that in the "worst case scenario" I just put a vpn connection on my router to the USA, install the app (in the philippines) and then i should be golden? Or do i have to ALWAYS be connected to the USA vpn? it seems silly since I would be serving content locally.... this is really for just 1 TV since the other one has my Nvidea Shield device on it with all the other apps on it too already.

Just getting ready since in about a month i will have to do all this for.... shall we say less technically oriented resources

Hi. I could be mistaken but I don’t think this is something you can change on the fly.  I think it’s all decided when you first setup the TV so you’d have to factory reset it and then choose a different country.

I'll know soon. Im not physically there so worst case scenario i just reset that tv and set it to usa store. which is not a big deal or just buy another nvidea shield (or roku) device and set that up before i go there. I'll ask my significant other to check since she is there.
