Is it possible to add multiple Tags at once? how? the KB info on tags is very limited. @cayars

is it possible to use a wildcard so we don't have to add multiple similar name tags to a user with restrictions? I tried "RandomTagName-*" but that did not work.

Edit: The questions are specific to the parental control section and adding tags that already exist.

Give this tool a go, it's a nice and simple HTML client created by one of the community members.

It will allow you to update tags and genres in bulk

Thanks for the info and I appreciate the reply. but, as stated in the topic, my questions are specific to the parental control section and adding tags that already exist.

Sorry, I completely misunderstood your original query.

No I don't think either of those things are currently possible.

A wildcard is not possible but you can use mulitple tags.

AFAIK as @seanbuff already stated, that ain't feasible. Multiple tags can be added, but only one by one. As is basically the thing with anything within Emby, no batch-editing.

As you've found out there isn't a  lot to document.

You didn't mention, but what content types are you mainly wanting to edit?

Anything that isnt Media. in my use case IPTV. Since parental controls aren't feasible, the use of limiting categories (Tags in emby terms) for the kids seem to be most viable solution. be is Allow or Deny

For m3u channels I personally think m3u4u service is really hard to top for this type of thing when you want to make bulk changes to groups.  It makes adding groups and dragging channels into these groups very easy.

Groups become tags in Emby Server when the m3u file is loaded.

all fair points and most likely accurate. however, they don't relate to the OP. bulk editing in emby is something that has been brought up and requested for years. I'm specially asking about
