ginjaninja 605 Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 so i did my bit and renamed tv extras as specials in S00EXX Convention. eg Would I Lie to You! - S00E1001 - Mam, Would I Lie To You! WILTY Saturday Night Takeaway Sketch (Mothers Day Special).mkv vs a 'real' special (real= present on tvdb) Would I Lie to You! - S00E11 - At Christmas (2021).mp4 Would it be possible to tweak the title extraction sub routine(from filename) of the local media agent/provider, so that such as file would just be titled as below by default (when no match is found on a higher priority internet provider for 'title') Special - Mam, Would I Lie To You! WILTY Saturday Night Takeaway Sketch (Mothers Day Special) Spoiler currently it is titles as Special - Would I Lie to You! - S00E1001 - Mam, Would I Lie To You! WILTY Saturday Night Takeaway Sketch (Mothers Day Special) as per screenshot, so the 'useful' part of the title is almost always cut off on most clients.
Luke 42080 Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Yes I think in concept it makes sense. The only problem is that suggesting this is fully supported will be tricky as any cases of numbers in the file name may end up interpreted as the episode number.
