Yes you need to setup a DDNS provider - choose your domain, get a username/password etc. What providers does it support other than oray.com ? no-ip, freedns etc ?

Hi, For some reason my ongoing session got logged out and no matter which route I try, I cannot log back on to the app. Upon an uninstall and reinstall to esure the latest clean version from LG App store, I have tried "Connect with Emby" connect. 1. With exisiting user profile ( was working before) I cannot log in to the Emby.media/pin page as it does not accept my user and password. This user did not have email registered, which I tried to add to the profile via server gui, but it did not accept. 2. Created another user and password, which worked on the mentioned Emby.media/pin, which then moved to a page asking for host and port. After entering the data (not easy on. TV), the circle goes around and around and goes back to the initial screen where "connect with Emby Connect" button is. Also tried adding a server button, but the same result. 3. On windows machine through web browser I can log in with no issues. I think the LG app got an update not long ago, so not sure if that is the issue or if it is somehing else. Just also to add that the login process into Emby apps has never been straight forward and always very challenging with the different pieces if information it requires. Not easy, if it is a non tech and older person (not my case, but for other family memebers). Thanks

Server 4.9.0.15 is still broken, this is with the web browser on the server PC. 1: Music->Genre->Context Menu->Shuffle or Play : Correct genre with fast playlist creation 2: Music->Genre->Artists->Shuffle or Play : Wrong genres with fast playlist creation 3: Music->Genre->Albums->Shuffle or Play : Correct genre with very slow playlist creation (135 seconds), high cpu usage during that time 4: Music->Genre->Songs->Shuffle or Play : Correct genre with slow playlist creation (30 seconds), high cpu usage during that time On android mobile 1 and 2 are the same but 2 and 3 show high server cpu but eventually don't play at all. On first install and after one restart it seemed to work correctly, however after another restart it's broken again. I believe I saw this behaviour with 4.8.x which is why I was misled into thinking it was fixed earlier.

@LukeI noticed a small issue with the Emby Theater app (downloaded from the Microsoft Store). Its icon seems to have a shadow, which I don't think is intentional. It's a minor detail, but it stands out when pinned to the navbar in Windows, especially compared to other icons. I've been trying to change it to something else, but I haven't figured out how to modify files for apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store and stored in the WindowsApps folder. Does anyone know how to do that?

The router has the ability to enable DDNS. I enabled it during setup but do I need to add anything else?

I'd sort them after the last season of a series. In season specials should be complete by then and any extras would just be viewed after completion of a series

i can not get either of the Cinema Intros or Trailers plugins that are in the Emby Plugin Catalog to work I am running Version 4.8.5.0 with A Lifetime Emby Premiere plan

That is what's classically know as port triggering - where you open the port 'on demand/dynamically' do what you need to do, and then it closes after a short peroid if no more activity on the connection. Port forwarding will keep that port 'open' forever and just forward what it receives, allowing multiple sources etc. Pretty much every router these days has done away with triggering - and they just use port forwarding. tbh with you, the router/AP doesn't inspire confidence if they can't even label the 'server port/destination port' correctly on their GUI .. You don't need a fixed IP - ddns will allow you to keep a fixed 'dns name' and it will dynamically point you to the new WAN each time it changes. Your router 'may' have a DDNS client built into it ?

Still the same unfortunately. The items the plugin has created in the top picks library have the thumbnails and the original items (browsing to the top pick items via the library that they are stored in) still has broken thumbnails.

Trying that out. I'm binding it to the .51 address (WiFi) for now as it's doubling as a HTPC for a short while. I'll be speaking to to the ISP tomorrow about it. The router manufacturer's helpline confirmed that the correct steps were taken and that the port would open for a verry short period before closing, then recommended getting a static IP from the ISP. It's a broadband connection. There are no other routers in the chain and DHCP reservation is on for the server.

@TeamBI've just been playing with the code. I'm going to use this plugin as a post processing of the 'watchlist' on the home screen I'm writing (scraping a Playlist) - and was wondering why it only worked on some STRM files - I believe it was the mediastream count. I have a lot of strm's with associated subs (on the same path as the strm) and thus the mediastream count is no longer zero. I've just removed it for the time being - and it appears to work fine. I can't find this setting or maybe it doesn't exist? Just trying to move specials (after last season) or hide the specials folder so it's not before season 1 in a tv series.

Hi @Luke Testing update for .15 and more context. I tested Three Shuffle Buttons on a genre type. Release and .15 still produce the same results. The first two work see below. The Main/Visible below works as expected Content appears correct (I think this one always was correct ?) Click on artists in above view The shuffle button in the screen below works. The content of this view is incorrect by the definition I use as incorrect artists are included. Click on Albums from main Screen. The Shuffle button produces a hard failure on both release and .15 ( I realize it a pain if you can't reproduce) It is odd because the expected result is the same as the main First Shuffle unless it is trying to produce a playlist of random grouping of albums of in the genre. You have to manually end the task. Anyway I would normally use the first shuffle - Random Tracks from the selected genre -vicpa

@luke Is there any update to this? Will TV mode get the UI update that Desktop and mobile/tablet got making episodes and Movies/Shows clickable? I wouldn't care, but the remote function for desktop mode is a like funky. It loose focus all the time and I have to use my mouse to get it back. I don't run into this issue at all when using TV mode though.

So it shuffles by artist for the Albums and Artist tab but then it shuffles by song for Songs tab?
