olá!

Instalei o server no nvidia shield e gostaria de mover os arquivos para um dock com HDD que tenho instalado na USB para que ele não ocupe a memória interna.

Como configuro para que o server fique armazenando os arquivos nesse HDD?

we know that a server needs a lot of space because is a huge data traffic.
The metadata grows on the way my library grows and a nvidia shield don't have much space to comport this (my shield has today little bit than 5gb internal storage)

But i have a HDD case external were is my files (movies, shows, music, etc) and i want use this external drive as my default storage for emby server files. (metadata, cache, backup, etc)

On Plex Media Server theres an option to change the storage to an external device. I just want to do the same thing with emby but i don't know if this is possible.

can you help me, please?

OK understood.  Yes you can change several directory entries in Emby to help with storage requirements like this.

Settings->Cache path:
Library->Advanced Tab->Metadata path:
Transcoding->Transcoding temporary path:

Those would be three main ones to change.

If using LiveTV/DVR then you would also want to change the storage locations in the DVR menu.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

I think it will be fine.
