You can logon as develop (user "develop", password "000000" or blank for some models) by clicking the menu button and than select Smart Hub and in there Samsung Account menu on your remote. After you logged on as develop you can press the smart hub button on your remote. Go to my app's list and on one of the installed apps hold the enter button down for a few seconds. Another window will pop up giving you the option to add the IP address. Enter 173.230.139.54. Afterwards hold the enter button down to go in the options again and choose "Start User app sync". There will pop up a new window which says "user apps sync is requested" After a few seconds the app will be installed on your TV. FrostByte 5139
If you would rather download the zip and host it on your own web server you can do the following: Windows: 1. Download the appropriate zip for your model TV * 2. Copy the zip file to the subfolder Widget under the root of the default download folder on your web server I'm using IIS and the zip file is in: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Widget\Emby_1.0.8_Europe_20190308.zip (example filename) You can try renaming the file whatever you want, but some systems have been known to have problems installing unless the filename is in format "Emby_<version>_<region>_<yyyymmdd>.zip" 3. Create a file called widgetlist.xml in the root folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot\widgetlist.xml Place this information in the xml file changing the IP to your web server's IP and the filename if needed. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rsp stat="ok"><list><widget id="Emby"><title>emby</title><compression type="zip" size="919000"/><description/><download>http://192.168.x.x/Widget/Emby_1.0.8_Europe_20190308.zip</download></widget></list></rsp> 4. Install the app using your own web server's IP and the appropriate instructions for your model year TV in the posts above * The latest third party app zip files can be found at the below link. Just change the branch to the version that supports your year model TV and click Download ZIP https://github.com/M.../SamsungSmartTV **The official Orsay app is NOT available for download at this time. MacOS or Linux: If you do not have a Windows system but have MacOS (or Linux), then you can setup a temporary server on MacOS desktop/notebook systems. Follow these steps: Get systems IP address (e.g. using ifconfig Terminal command) Download Emby-App zip file that's appropriate for your Samsung TV (here https://github.com/M.../SamsungSmartTV) Create folder under your Home folder called emby (e.g. /User/YourName/emby) Create another folder under emby called Widget (e.g. /User/YourName/emb/Widget) Copy that zip file to the Widget folder (e.g. /User/YourName/emby/Widget/Emby_1.0.8_Europe_20190308.zip) Edit a file called widgetlist.xml in the emby folder (e.g. /User/YourName/emby/widgetlist.xml) Copy the following code into that file & change the IP address & the zip file name (step 8):<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rsp stat="ok"><list><widget id="Emby"><title>emby</title><compression type="zip" size="919000"/><description/><download>http://192.168.x.x/Widget/Emby_1.0.8_Europe_20190308.zip</download></widget></list></rsp> Change the IP address to the one you obtained from Step 1. and zip filename from step 2. and save the file widgetlist.xml Start the Terminal App and goto the emby folder (e.g. cd /User/YourName/emby) Start a temporary web server using PYTHON using the following command:python -m SimpleHTTPServer 80 Go to your TV and install the Emby App using your MacOS's IP address (detailed instructions here) When complete, stop the temporary web server on your Mac by entering Control-C on the terminal. Note: If your MacOS is already hosting a webserver on port 80, then this method will not work unless you stop that server first. For those with Linux desktop/notebooks, these instructions apply as most Linux variants have Python 2.x installed.
