reyfrisson 0 Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 (edited) hello, i need help figuring out this thing. I have emby server on linux. and Kodi. I installed Addon Emby in Kodi. My son has a kodi in his room on windows 10. I would like to share my media collection with him on his kodi, also via addon emby. I managed to put the substitution links in my server to connect to my emby (ip 192.168.1.97) I put the links /media/disk/movies/4Kfilms/ But when I want to connect my son's kodi, it doesn't work. I think it's a matter of accessing the server ip or name. How I should use this information; I have read the wiki and still do not understand. Thank you for your help Edited April 4, 2021 by reyfrisson
quickmic 1610 Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Is there a reason why you use native mode? I always recommend addon-mode and you don't have configure network shares. It's more user friendly and has additional features. If you need native mode for some reason, I can check.
reyfrisson 0 Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 the computer where the files are located is not powerful enough to decode the movies on two machines at the same time.
reyfrisson 0 Posted April 5, 2021 Author Posted April 5, 2021 I found the solution . I let Emby down. And used Kodi directly, much easier to let kodi manage the media.
