Hi,

apparently the native OSX app doesn't work on apple M1.

Browsing the library works, but as soon as you start to play a tile, the application freezes up (spinning beachball).

Tried reinstalling the app, no solution. Can anyone confirm this ?

thanks,

Hi,

Has there been any progress on this? Apple Silicon has now been around for a while, but the OSX app still does not work.

I have tried the Plex client, and that works fine with Plex with both sound and video.

I am testing it ... :)

For the moment, no problem, I tested it with download process, because my other one freeze if I download on it too much.
I will test until wednesday because this mac is not mine (I'm Apple Technician)

Only a little problem maybe with ffmeg as you can see on my picture, but I have same problem on I5's model (2014).

Can you please try the macOS 11.3 update with the Emby app? It appears to have resolved many of the issues that had been blocking us.

If you'd like a newer version of the Emby app and don't mind sideloading, you can participate in testing here:

Thanks.

Hi, I can confirm that Emby now works.

Also, I would be very interested in trying the new app.

I have downloaded it and it also seems to work well. Do you have a change log so that I can test it? It looks so much like the original - at least at first sight.

Hi, yes it's all in the testing thread I linked to. Thanks.

Do you need to install Rosetta for the emby app to work? I prefer not to install Rosetta.

Hi,

Get Info shows that the app is intel, so Rosetta is required. I don’t understand your reticence, I have not even noticed when Rosetta is used.

Hi, I would just install from the store and it will handle what is required.
