If the server disconnects, and the pi is headless, is there any way to force a reconnect without logging in?  Or are you better off just rebooting the pi if there's no session found?

You should be able to just leave the app as it is without doing anything.

So far that's not working.  It vanishes from the active session list.  I may end up just doing a session query on some interval and then sending a reboot if it comes back with an empty session list for that device.

Ok so yes if you want to remote control it, then you will need to intervene in order to re-establish the connection required for that.

Turns out that if you do a Get on the Session, it forces a reconnect and the Pi appears as an active client again.  If it's done before each POST to play then the post command causes the audio to play immediately.

Put this in another thread, but it fits better here, and for searching reasons as well

Occasionally Theater will not play back.  The session is still there, you can do a post to play a song, but it will only give out a droning hum with no proper response.  At this point a reboot is the only thing that fixes the issue.

I would try 3.0.14 and see if that's any different. thanks.

Is there a good way to force an update to theater over ssh?

You just install the same way you did originally, over the top of your existing version.

3.0.14 will still eventually stop responding as well.
