mentasm 43
Hi, For a while now I've been having a problem with the Trailers Plugin I install the plugin (currently 1.0.5023.36724 on MB3 server 3.0.5031.21343) , then run a update task and I receive the following in the notifcations area: Refresh trailers failed a minute ago Connection to http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/home/xml/current_720p.xml timed out However if I browse to http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/home/xml/current_720p.xml in my browser it displays the xml just fine. I don't use a proxy or anything so I can't understand what is going on Can someone give me a hand? server-63517108927.log

ebr 14912
Timing out on Lastfm too. My guess would be the firewall blocking the server from getting to those sites.
mentasm 43
Hi, I just tried disabling the windows firewall. No difference. Still times out. Also, the fact that I can hit the page just fine if I browse the URL in any of my browsers indicates that nothing is being blocked Can't think of anyting else that could cause it

But, if you completely disabled it, it must not be the firewall - at least not on that machine. All I can tell you though is we are timing out trying to reach both last.fm and the apple site via the application. Be sure you don't have other software on the machine that tries to regulate network traffic (virus/malware prevention?).
Solution mentasm 43 Posted October 24, 2013 Author Solution Share Posted October 24, 2013 Thanks for your time. Finally twigged it was the Speedbit streaming accelerator that is running on the machine. Killed it and the plugin updated ok. Happy, that been bugging me for soooo long
