Disk Space Plugin now not showing other drive sizes

I started using the disk space plugin about 5 months ago when I was starting to run low on one of my drives so that I could use Emby to report when I was at a certain threshold which was a awesome plugin when I found it so shout out to the developer Chef for that.

As I was running x2 Qnaps, x2 Windows Servers for storage plus the old i5 with a 256gb SSD only and I mapped 1 drive from each host as a network location to get the overall size of my library and threshold notifications.

It worked great up until about 2 weeks ago when I got a new QNAP to migrate x2 old computers on that and decommission at the insistence of my other half as she was sick of running the servers 24/7 primarily for Emby.

Now I can only see the C drive for the computer which I don't really care about as it's only got Windows and Emby installed with Norton Anti Virus also.

Has something changed that it will now not show network shares that have been mapped?

Nope @PenkethBoyand haven't since I first migrated to this server, it was this server I first set it up on initially.

Does it need to be? I tried researching and checking the forum for notes on this plug in but sadly couldn't find much

no - a windows service does not see map drives

you have checked the plugin settings that you have the other drives enabled

Was one of the 1st things I checked but they don't even show up that's what is bizarre it only shows the C drive

Previously I saw any mapped drive.

That's how I was both shocked and dismayed I had 64tb of storage as I had a network drive for each Movies, Music, TV Shows for each host and NAS

once I removed it all to one share each I was really impressed with the plugin.

If I hadn't of gotten this new NAS I wouldn't have found the problem as I've been managing the storage space by shifting to bigger shares

Nope definitely can see the account, as it's behind the firewall plus I use the same account across everything for emby it can see them

And apart from the new NAS everything has been as is since I first installed about 5 months ago.

Only thing that has changed on the box is windows 10 updates and now the new mapping for this new NAS.

Thats what has me really stumped.

It would be awesome if I could specify the drive details in the plugin but no sure how to reach out to the developer to suggest a few changes

it will be the account not setup how you think it is or the mappings set to login with diff account or ....

are the mappings actually active i.e. they dont have a red X on them - as that would stop the plugin seeing them

or actually go to one of the mappings in explorer so its definatley active then refresh the plugin page does it appear?

Yep again done all that and on the NAS box shares it has been set to guest be full control still same issue

However Emby in the library collection sees everything perfectly and no playback issues

Thats why Im stumped as to whats causing the issue

Yep and nothing stood out to me

Im going to have a better look tonight after work, might even enable debug while im at work to see if it picks something up also.

Interesting

I installed the plug in on the weekend and I only see the C:\ from the server emby is installed on to even thought the server can see all the mapped drives.

I was thinking that I need it to look over the network but I couldn't find any way to change that either

Could I see a server log? This is a strange thing. Because the plugin uses the filesystem endpoint in the API, I am wondering if we would see filesystem errors in the log, and also there would be some disk space logs to check out.

I have pushed a release in the catalog  which enables all the logging. It will tell use exactly what the issue is. I had turned off logging before because stuff was working.

If you update to 1.0.4.4 send me a log, or check it out, to see if anything stands out.

Hi, Have you tried giving access to the specific user running Emby besides just guest?

Yes, usually those errors would be thrown away, but just in case they could tell us something about the issues with ausstie, I logged them.

@austie did you have a chance to download 1.0.4.4? could you send a log if you are still having issues?
