andrewmcd7 5 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Can we get the option to change the up next and continue watching to show the tv show poster not the card (whatever it’s called)? 4 1
Luke 40144 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Hi, yes more options are possible in future updates. Thanks for the feedback. 1
forbius95 16 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Hi Luke Do you have visibility on this future update please ? Is it possible for the section "Continue Watching" This would be so great to get the option to choose between showing : - Thumbnail view movies and TV shows (with episodes spoiler or without spoiler) - Poster view movies and TV shows (for TV show the option to show the poster of the season or the TV show) I think poster view is better from my point of view and nice to watch on phones (and TV). And we better recognise the poster instead of the thumbnail Not so easy to find thumbnails for some movies and TV shows whereas the poster is always available 1

kamhouse 9 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 (edited) How do you enable the poster view setting? Or has it still not been implemented yet? Edited October 12, 2024 by kamhouse 1

forbius95 16 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 (edited) Hi Luke, Thanks for your job on Emby. Regarding this topic, I thought it was in progress? Not something you « can look at ». Seems to be a way to say no not for now. It's been over 3 years.. Are you really planning to do it ? Thanks Edited October 12, 2024 by forbius95 1
Luke 40144 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Hi, yes more options to control this are planned for future updates. Thanks. 1

Any idea of a time frame considering you said it was on the agenda..... and it's been 4 yours single the original request. Considered buying lifetime but good god 120$ for that kinda of average timeframe is crazyyy lol. 2
forbius95 16 Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Ok, I tried making the change via the HTML/CSS script, and here's what I came up with: I’m far from an expert, but it only took me 10 minutes to figure out how to do it. Now, I’m wondering why such a small request made 4 years ago hasn’t been addressed, especially with all the updates the beta has gone through. It literally takes just 5 minutes… So: Either you don’t want to implement it, in which case I’d prefer you to be transparent with your community rather than making us wait over 4 years to hear things like, “We’re thinking about it for future updates,” “We’ll take a look,” or “Maybe someday.” Or you don’t see it as a priority and plan to push the request back another 10-20 years. In that case, maybe it’s time to reassess what your community/clients truly prioritize. Or it’s more complex than expected, in which case, you should hire me to implement it for you in 5 minutes flat. So, what’s your plan for this request? At the very least, do you have an estimated timeline ?

At the very least, do you have an estimated timeline ? Your change was basically hard coded right? Maybe adding a switch into settings to configure either view makes it harder to implement. Also, I'm not familiar with how the code works, but does the setting you changed automatically reflect through all clients or do they each require a different piece of code to be changed?
