David9Points 0 Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Hello, Although scheduled to run each night. The process to download any new subtitles is set to run, and does. However, it doesn't download all the subtitles, in fact it fails with the following message: ffmpeg subtitle extraction failed for file:"/Users/David/emby-server/cache/temp/23f0ce6d-0784-4cf4-afe8-dc84a7fd885f.txt" to /Users/David/emby-server/cache/subtitles I have noticed a number of the TV Show's I have on my NAS (That is connected to Emby) doesn't have subtitles. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks

David9Points 0 Posted October 6, 2020 Author Posted October 6, 2020 Thank you for the very quick reply Luke. I have attached the last couple of server logs. Thanks again David embyserver.txt embyserver-63737596586.txt
Luke 38818 Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Hi, can you get this to happen again, and then when you see this message in the log: System.Exception: System.Exception: ffmpeg subtitle extraction failed for file:"/Users/David/emby-server/cache/temp/23f0ce6d-0784-4cf4-afe8-dc84a7fd885f.txt" to /Users/David/emby-server/cache/subtitles/0/0f0bc571356b2fed9bbed7fe05e80319_637375937566620901_0_0_0_False.srt Please provide a copy of the file listed on the left hand side. Thanks.
David9Points 0 Posted October 12, 2020 Author Posted October 12, 2020 Luke, Thank you for the response. I tried to look for this file you requested, but it doesn't exist. I checked again for an alert and I saw the message: subtitles failed to download from Open Subtitles for Fawlty Towers - S2, Ep3 - Waldorf Salad 12/10/2020, 10:03:20 ffmpeg subtitle extraction failed for file:"/Users/David/emby-server/cache/temp/ed4e4cf0-81b9-4cbf-848f-6e70709e460d.txt" to /Users/David/emby-server/cache/subtitl I have subsequently got the logs AND the file from the location previously mentioned. I hope this helps with the investigation. Regards David ed4e4cf0-81b9-4cbf-848f-6e70709e460d.txt embyserver.txt
