jasonborn 21 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Hi folks, I'm currently using Kodi with Emby to full satisfaction. A friend of mine is experimenting with a Plex server and want to invite me to make use of his Plex libraries. I saw that there is a plugin called Plexconnect, but this plugin assumes that you manage all your videos with Plex (and none with Kodi). There is a possibility that I might lose data already stored in the Kodi video. Anyone eperimented with this plugin, and is it true that I lose my Emby settings in Kodi if I use it? Kind regards,
quickmic 1610 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Yes, there is good chance that both plugin interfere each other. If you experiment with both plugins, take a FULL backup (including databases etc.) before you try. Maybe a complete reset is required if not working. 1
kstilho 4 Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Hello. It takes over all your library paths so 90% that you will lose your BD.There is another plugin that works as an embycon that is safe to use without corrupting your database

I have used infuse and wanted something on android that would integrate both my emby and Plex servers. I am currently installing emby for Kodi but saw PKC said not to use that with PKC. What other add on for emby is safe to use with PKC?
quickmic 1610 Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Well things have changed in the last years and I would simply try it out. If something goes wrong, you will see it more or less immediately. Worst case, you must wipe Kodi and start over. 1
