Luke 40111 Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I think there might already be external tools to do this but I don't know their names.

kalanihelekunihi 6 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 On Kodi, you can use this plugin to automatically manage Google Drive shares as though they are local filesystems as far as the library is concerned, as well as create *.strm files automatically, including support for Drive Video Transcoding. It works very well. But, there does not (yet?) appear to be any similar sort of plugin for Emby. https://kodi.tv/addon/music-add-ons-picture-add-ons-plugins-video-add-ons/google-drive
Gae082 0 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 (edited) You can use Rclone for that, it's basically the same thing. The drive addon is a bit clunky because you need a complete rescan sometimes. Some info are not updated / files are being duplicated I also don't know if there's an API limitation using the Google Drive addon as it use the google drive API to stream content. Any Gsuite user have a API call limitation. Edited September 13, 2020 by Gae082 Added content
