Hello everybody @ebr @AdrianW,

Where can I find the "Emby for WMC Configurator". I want to change the player to an external player.

Indeed I change my server from PC to Synology. Now video freeze on WMC after 2 seconds. It's always buffering. Although, videos work fine in WMC.

Thanks for your help.

Hi. There should be a shortcut to it in Windows on the machine where EMC was installed.

However, I doubt an external player is the proper solution to your problem.  My bet is that your EMC machine can no longer directly access the media files so it is transcoding and the NAS isn't fast enough to do that.

If I am on Chrome or WMC (not EMBY) or my LG TV, the video works fine.

Neither of those would negate my suspicion for what this problem is.  An EMC log when you play something would tell us.

Ok I will send you this in few hours.

Thanks

Here they are.

Thanks a lot. Actually I think there is a problem.

That meens the NAS has to transcode and so it takes a lot of ressources. How can I do to change this ?

Why it works perfectly on my TV or o  Browser ?

Thanks a lot

I found it, I put the network share directory in the option.

Excellent it works fine. But I continue to not understand why it works perfectly on my TV or my Browser ?

Because both of those apps probably are able to direct stream or direct play the content via the server.  EMC was created several years ago to fill a gap during our early development and it doesn't have all of the intelligence for streaming that our other apps do.  Basically, it is expected that the app will be able to directly access your file system - if it can't it does a full transcode.
