Is it possible to get a plugin to create episode backdrops?

I have my sports set up as TV shows, with each game being an episode and having a primary image that's just a graphic with the team logos, date, etc. But the backdrop is what's used in Next Up and Continue Watching, and I want it to show that image not just the backdrop for the entire "TV show" (ie sporting league).

So I've been setting the primary image as a backdrop for each episode. This works, but Emby doesn't let it save with my media so every time I rename a file or have to move anything, the backdrops get deleted.

Is there any way to automate the process? It'd just need to go through a library and set, for example, "s01e01 Kings vs Magic.jpg" as the backdrop for the episode "s01e01 Kings vs Magic.mkv", and so on and so forth for every episode.

In fact, having a look at the NFO files if there was a way to copy the <poster> tag into the <fanart> tag, that's all it'd need since they point to the same image.
