Chillout 102 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Is there a way to set audio normalization in the server settings? I stream to an Asus Chromebox using the web client hooked up to some computer speakers. The ChromeOS does not seem to have any audio normalization software and I find myself constantly adjusting the volume during videos. I would rather not have to buy speakers with this feature built-in. I have tried enabling the normalization setting in FFMPEG which seems to be handling the transcoding duty but it doesnt seem to make a difference.
Luke 40077 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 go to advanced -> transcoding. note that it will only apply when transcoding is occurring. the rest of the time it will have to be done with the player.
Chillout 102 Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Maybe I'm missing a setting but the only thing I see is to adjust the transcoding quality and to boost audio during downmixing. I dont see any setting that would allow the volume level to normalize between quiet and loud scenes. Server Version : Version 3.0.5306.42925
Chillout 102 Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) Thanks. Does MB use the FFMPEG config parameters or does it use its own settings? I'm wondering if I need to play with the FFMPEG settings a bit more to enable that feature in MB. Edited July 14, 2014 by Chillout
