Adding Live TV Sat (Recommendations)

Hi Folks,

 

Having recently added a HDHomeRun to my Emby setup I am now looking to add a double tuner satellite receiver to my setup.

 

Are there any recommendations on which unit works best with Emby

I have recently viewed a Megasat SAT > IP Server which seem to be similar in terms of how the HDHomeRun works (albeit in my limited knowledge)

 

Any/All info greatly appreciated

No first hand info from me as I'm on the wrong side of the pond to use Megasat.  But if you can get an IP Server that produces an M3U file with streams using TS and not rtsp you will be in good shape.

 

I think Spaceboy might use this or similar so he's the guy to comment I'd think.

I use pcie tv cards so don’t really have any experience of this.

 

But I think the vu+ boxes are the best supported for this, I’ve seen it mentioned a number of times in the forum, there’s even an official plugin. Other than that I can’t really help I’m afraid
