AxelAxel3 23
My kids love watching YouTube and it keeps eating all of my limited speed during our peak hours. I plan on writing a powershell script to run at night to download their favorite channels and sync the latest videos. That's the easy part. The issue I'm having working out in my head is getting the metadata/thumbnails for the video over. In the past, I tried to use a nfo file for a separate project (downloading the local weather clip from the local news stations website daily), but I found Emby actually writes to that file and doesn't read from it so my efforts was in vein. I'm hoping to accomplish this with an easy xml or json file or something, but wasn't sure if this was even possible. Is there an easy way to accomplish this? I really think this would be a nice plugin I personally would love to develop, but im more of a scripter and not a c# developer Note: Wasn't 100% sure where to post this, so feel free to move if needed. No, we do read from NFO files and that is the answer to your question. If you create a valid NFO with the metadata, Emby will read it.
