Milofow 3
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I need some help. I've been trying to connect my EmbyConnect account to a user on my Emby server, but everytime I try an error pops up saying there was a problem connecting and asking me if I want to make an account. I already have an account so I don't know what to do now. I already sent an email to the adress in the error pop up, but it still doesn't work. Can somebody give me advice on what to do? Thanks in advance! Kind regards, Milo
ebr 14913
Hi. Make sure you haven't already connected that Connect account to another user on that same server. Also, be sure you can login to the forum here with that account.

Also, be sure you can login to the forum here with that account. Thanks for your reply! I haven't connected it to another user and can login on this forum with te same account. I did delete my old Emby server last night, but I can't see it anymore at my login. Could that be the problem and if so how can I resolve it? ebr 14913
Okay, there is your problem. The server cannot get out on the internet at all. Something in configuration or security setup is blocking it.

Thanks for figuring it out, could it have anything to do with assigning a static ip to Emby, because that already gave me some trouble

Solution Milofow 3 Posted May 10, 2020 Author Solution Share Posted May 10, 2020 What was the solution? Well, I'm running Emby server on FreeNAS and i'd set a static IP for freenas and also for the Emby server jail, but apparently that didn't work so I chose DHCP to handle the FreeNAS IP and leave the static IP for Emby. Don't know exactly what was blocking internet acces with two static IP's...
