Yes QNAP file manager allows you to see the mounted paths in the File Explorer Tree, just doesn't appear where it was previously under a folder called /mnt, which would make sense as mnt is short for mount.

I don't know what the purpose of installing the codexpack is. I found the answer here but there is no reason on post as to why it shows the share.
