groupmsl 1 Posted April 27, 2020 Share Posted April 27, 2020 I have the situation semi-regularly where I'm watching live telly and I have to pause it for a minute or two. Un-pausing and carrying on works just fine. Later on I need to stop watching, but want to record the rest of the programme. If I press the record button, it records from the live position of the programme...not where I am, several minutes behind. What I'd like is the record button to record from your current position until the end of the programme, rather than the live position to the end of the programme. I assume the server would have to start a file with a chunk of the live buffer (from your position to the live position) and then continue recording live for the remainder. Is this possible? maegibbons 1267 Posted April 28, 2020 Share Posted April 28, 2020 Its actually an accepted DVR feature on platforms like sky etc. You press record and it dumps the WHOLE BUFFER from when you STARTED watching and keeps recording to the end of the show.
