TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Emby keep losing information like season number and some genres that i manually added into some series and the status of the series which i have put on ended. I have locked those entries but over time they get unlocked and the changes that i don't want reappears. I have disabled the function to updates the metadate after some time.
Luke 40121 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 HI there, can you please go over an example? Thanks !
TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 2, 2020 Author Posted April 2, 2020 sure, the best example would be the mecha genre some series will get automatically when emby gets the metadata other times i add it manually to some tv shows that should have it . and after a while they lose it
TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 3, 2020 Author Posted April 3, 2020 each series has an option at the bottom to lock it to prevent future changes
TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 3, 2020 Author Posted April 3, 2020 plus i have noticed that some series lose the season information despite having the format S0XE0X
Luke 40121 Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 do you have metadata files inside the series folder such as xml or nfo?
Luke 40121 Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Can we please look at a specific example using screenshots? Thanks.
TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 6, 2020 Author Posted April 6, 2020 it lost the season 3 info and changed to season 1
TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 6, 2020 Author Posted April 6, 2020 some loss all season info and the filed becomes blank
Happy2Play 9449 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Can't see it completely but I would guess you have a structure and/or naming scheme issue. Can you go over the complete folder structure.
TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 6, 2020 Author Posted April 6, 2020 actually that might be it since the folders don't have the season number let me try something but shouldn't be enough with files having the season number ? Can't see it completely but I would guess you have a structure and/or naming scheme issue. Can you go over the complete folder structure.
Happy2Play 9449 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 But from what I see it looks like a nested folder issue. What is the structure?
TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 8, 2020 Author Posted April 8, 2020 it's garo (2005)\garo yami wo terasu mono (2013) it's like this because of tvdb they combie several series into one initially i had them separate but then i had to combine them to get metadata But from what I see it looks like a nested folder issue. What is the structure?
TheCollectorx 0 Posted April 8, 2020 Author Posted April 8, 2020 make the changes let's see if it happens again
