Ethyria 8 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Hi All, I store my album overview inside each mp3 file in the 'Comment' ID3 tag, so that should anything happen to my metadata, the metadata can easily be recovered from the ID3 tags themselves. I was just curious if it would be possible for MediaBrowser to read the 'Comment' field and use this to populate the 'Overview' field? 1
Ethyria 8 Posted June 27, 2014 Author Posted June 27, 2014 Just to further the idea above, perhaps it could be setup in such a way that should an overview not be found online via the scrapers, that it import the contents of the 'comment' ID3 tag.
ginjaninja 570 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 im all for offline storage of metadata so the library can be rebuilt; would such metadata with scope of 'abum' eg 'album overview' (rather than a scope of track), be better stored in album.xml (rather than track)
Maleficarum 68 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 If this were to happen I would suggest the use of an additional "Album Overview" tag rather than the comment tag as people already use this and it would be silly to exempt them from using the feature in that way Sent from my C1505 using Tapatalk
