Looks to me like a malformed url that needs updating like a few other bits of this api.  Clicking the Padlock on most of the api shows more info and "try it"

on livetvservice it just errors

OK, it seems to be working just fine from here but we'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks.

Only way I can get that error is to logout.

I guess the question would be how are you connecting to the api, by dashboard or a shortcut url?

It all seems good now , I have no idea what was going on.  Everything the day i reported it was failing from the swagger url. Connecting to emby server on lan from VS IDE with code was working, so as the dialogs say an authentification issue.

I came back the day after and its all working, so it seems to me that it must have been something in between with ISPs, my pc hasn't been off and Luke never had an issue his side.  Issue was only the swagger url connecting to my server and not me directly connecting via an api call.

Its all good again.

I would like to know is there ever a plan or going to be one for POST /LiveTV/Channels to add or update live tv channels.?

If there's a feature in the web management interface, then there's an api for it.

I cannot find that api.

But I can find POST for Tuner hosts, so that would allow me to add an M3U with channels in it regardless if they were from a homerun, iptv or static webstreams etc so I think I may have found a work around for what I wanted to do, I just might end up with a dozen tuners!

I would like to alter channel numbers via the api though, is that possible?

Not currently no, but once we have improved channel management in the user interface, then there will be.
