Hello here !

 

I've a problem with an new Android TV box and emby. 

 

I's a MiBox S, with android 9.0.

 

Emby app version is 1.7.54g

Emby server version is 4.3.1.0

 

I've send log at 10:58:25 PM UTC-5 ( 4:58:25 PM UTC+2)

 

I already have a lot of different apps who work very well (AndroidTv 1.7.54g on Shield Pro 2019, Emby for iOS 1.9.1 on ipad and iphone, Kodi EmbyCon 1.9.32 and lot of different bowser ) with my online emby server.

 

I've verify the box name ( Android TV), i've try to clean cache, delete app file ect...

 

The error appear when i try to login after enter my personnal ip and port adress. ( com.android.volley.server.error )

 

His anyone can help me ?

 

Sorry for me english, it's not my mother tongue :)

well, i add my personnal server, i've got the error message and i send the repport without login attempt . Do you want a new login attempt and a new log file ?

the error message appear after i clic on the ok button to add the server. After that, my login and password are notify to be false ( id or password incorrect )

Hmmm... again I got absolutely no activity in your log.

 

is there anything special about the setup or network on this device?

well, nothing special. wifi connected, the network work perfectly, no idea.

 

With the ipad / iphone, on the same wifi network, there is no problem

 

You receive the log, and there are empty ? or you didn't receive anything ?

I received the log but the only information in it is the act of you sending it.

 

I've never seen a log like this before - with no activity - so it is like your box or the app has been denied access to the system logs.

Exact the same error ...a the same moment, just after i fill in the server and port form.

 

After that, any login and password are marked false

Hi.  What is the name of your actual Android device?  Can you change it to not include any accented or other non ASCII characters?

The exact Android device name is "Android TV"

 

I'll try to change for a simple name ( i've already check the box name after my first research here about the volley error )

I've changed the name to "mibox" then, I've rebooted the box, and, finally, all is fine now!

 

Thank you for your time!

 

And to say that I had thought of that from the start! Damn, i'vnt test name change!
