Luke 37246
That's probably the channel list that it's getting from the HDHR.
kanipek 225
Here are the steps I performed an in the order I performed them. I am a bit stumped here. I go have a ticket in with Silicondust regarding this channel management issue.
cmh31909 0
I'm not sure where HDHR would be getting the old channels from. I edited the file and then ran the setup UI and it shows only the channels I left in the file. I did not do a rescan, so it should not even be aware of the older channels. Luke 37246
Refresh the guide in Emby, then in the server log you'll see the url it uses to download the channel list for your HDHR.
cmh31909 0
It is hitting the following URLs: 2019-12-23 21:58:08.715 Info HttpClient: GET http://192.168.0.63/discover.json 2019-12-23 21:58:08.824 Info HttpClient: GET http://ipv4-api.hdhomerun.com/api/lineup?DeviceAuth=frica2thGj4BnMWZxJ7ogAPU So why is it going out to the hdhomerun website instead of going directly to the device to get the channel list? The website is what is returning all of the local channels. The contents of the discover.json is: {"FriendlyName":"HDHomeRun DUAL","ModelNumber":"HDHR-US","Legacy":1,"FirmwareName":"hdhomerun_atsc","FirmwareVersion":"20170930","DeviceID":"101682FD","DeviceAuth":"frica2thGj4BnMWZxJ7ogAPU","TunerCount":2,"BaseURL":"http://192.168.0.63:80","LineupURL":"http://ipv4-api.hdhomerun.com/api/lineup?DeviceAuth=frica2thGj4BnMWZxJ7ogAPU"} Edited December 24, 2019 by cmh31909
Luke 37246
For older devices that's just the way it works. For newer models it's direct to device.
kanipek 225
I am in contact with SD regarding this lack of channel management on these older units. It's possible - possible - that we can work out a deal where the owner of the unit will be able to give a list to SD of the channels they want disabled and SD would handle that at their end. The other option would be for the older units that Emby would read the appropriate Digital Antenna/Digital Cable xml files. That would require modification to server. I won't hear back from SD until after the holiday break.
