Implement binding to IP addresses "the proper way"

Hi, after experimenting with Emby a bit more and setting up a reverse proxy over NGINX I was surprised that Emby does not have the ability to bind to a list of specified IP addresses (eg localhost addresses only). After googling around, I saw a statement that this was an implementation decision to not have to handle multiple sockets. Although, the text in the web dashboard is really confusing as it does not bind to the addresses specified, it only filters it. So the current implementation is more an access control list than it is binding to an address.

 

 

For this I would like to ask if its possible to implement binding to a list of IP addresses the proper way, or at least change the text in the server dashboard.
