Can I ONLY use local images path within nfo files for poster/fanart/actor's thumb?

For example, I'm using Synology NAS and have a folder named "A Legend".

Its path is /volume2/download/A Legend. A Legend.mp4 is in this folder.

A Legend

   - A Legend.mp4

   - 1.jpg

   - 2.png

   - A Legend.nfo

I add this folder into a library.

Then, I choose NO movie metadata downloader and "Metadata savers: Nfo" as well as "save artwork into media folders".

"A Legend.nfo" :

.........

<art>

    <poster>/volume2/download/1.jpg</poster>

    <thumb>/volume2/download/2.png</thumb>

</art>

..........

However, this setting does not take any effect.

Well, as for my observation, if I rename "1.jpg" as "A Legend.jpg", Emby can take this image as a poster automatically.  However, still this is not according to nfo file.

Of course, I also find that, if I rename the images as below, the poster and fanart will show appropriatly and automatically, even if I do not set any path for poster and fanart in "A Legend.nfo".

A Legend

   - A Legend.mp4

   - A Legend-poster.jpg

   - A Legend-fanart.jpg

   - A Legend.nfo

BUT, this is not what I want. What I want is to set poster and fanart by using local images path within nfo files!

Besides, I want to set actors's photo by using local images path within nfo files as well.

"A Legend.nfo" :

.........

<actor>

    <name>Ricky</name>

    <thumb>/volume2/download/3.jpg</thumb>  (Assume 3.jpg is also in the folder)

</actor>

..........

Unfortunately, this setting does not come to any result.

Too much words...can u get me?       If there is no such a feature yet, is it a possibility for the future?

Thanks!

Hi, currently no, it's not possible as Emby doesn't read image paths from nfo files. It's possible for the future. thanks.

I don't have an update yet, but this did actually come up in another topic recently, so I wouldn't rule it out.
